DJ Chris Crisis began the journey of becoming a DJ at age 14 in Pennsylvania, soaking up the east coast influence like a sponge. Two years later, he packed up his equipment and moved to Georgia where success awaited. After performing with bands, rocking parties, and perfecting his style it was time to make history. The combination of clean mixing and precise scratching helped Crisis gain the recognition needed to excel and eventually would have Chris Crisis in clubs all over the world. Now, 12 years in the game and a member of the prestigious Five Star General DJ crew in Atlanta, the list of accomplishments seems never ending.
DJ Chris Crisis has opened up for artists such as Outkast, Erykah Badu, Goodie Mob, DJ Dangermouse, Biz Markie, Bubba Sparxxx, Ruff Ryders, Swizz Beats, Mr. Cheeks, Lil Scrappy, Petey Pablo, Digital Underground, YO YO, Heiroglypics, Aesop Rock, RJD2, KRS ONE, Ming & FS and even the Rev. Jesse Jackson to name a few.
Special events included Real World/ Road Rules reality parties, “And One” meet and greet, Playboy Playmate appearances, Music Midtown Atlanta, fashion shows, and Puma Outlet exclusive sale events. States where crisis has performed include GA, SC, NC, FL, VA, WV, TN, MS, PA, NJ, NY, MD, DC, AZ, CA and international parties in Finland.
DJ Chris Crisis has been featured on numerous radio stations in Georgia including WRAS 88.5, WRFG 89.3, and WUOG 90.5. Not only are the airwaves blessed in Georgia, Chris Crisis currently rocks “The 8:00 Kiss Cut Up” weekdays on WDAI 98.5, and “The Saturday Night Street Party” on WSEA 100.3 Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
It is proven that DJ Chris Crisis mixes are in demand with his series of mix cds selling worldwide as well as original beats. In music production, he has gained appreciation in the music and multimedia community with tracks featured on radio and major television networks such as ABC, TNT, and ESPN.
As a feature writer for DJ Times Magazine with seven published articles, DJ Chris Crisis provides turntable and music knowledge for millions of readers.
Currently, Crisis serves as tour DJ for the popular band “Rehab” and stays on tour throughout most of the year.
